Apropos of Nothing

Joss Whedon is in final negotiations to direct The Avengers.

We now return you to your regularly-scheduled Lost-centric programming.

  1. Downey and Wheedon together? Sounds like a damn good time!

  2. What do readers recommend from Whedon's work at Marvel? I've not read any of it yet.

  3. How hilarious, I thought you meant "The Avengers" 60's series....boy is my face red.....my age and gender are showing

  4. Erik,

Astonishing X-Men is the best thing Whedon's done at Marvel. It's available in trade. If you don't know Claremont's run from the 80's on the title, I recommend reading Wikipedia's entries for Kitty Pryde and Colossus, but stopping before their respective "Return" sections.

  5. The only Claremont I've read is half of the "Willow" novel he wrote with George Lucas, and could not muster the interest to ever read his X-men series. Probably my loss. Wikipedia seems like a good way to get up to speed for reading Whedon's tales. Thanks.
