A Brief, Self-Promotional Aside

Some of my readers have been kind enough to ask me what I'll be doing with my time once Lost comes to a close. Check out this week's Back to the Island column on Chud.com for the first hints about my post-Lost plans. If you've been enjoying my ramblings I think you'll be pleased. If you haven't been enjoying them, I can promise you renewed pain and displeasure.

  3. Would you ever tackle another series? Maybe not a new series, but one you haven't discovered yet?

  4. That's a very good question, Anon. The answer is yes, I would. Stay tuned...

  5. interesting... can't imagine a show right now that would invite the "back to approach" or has the chops to compare...

  6. Agreed. There aren't many shows I could compare to Lost. That being said, I am really curious. The only "candidates" I can think of would be Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who, and Star Trek (the entire universe, and yes I like that too). Or if you were to do movies crossover to TV, you got the Star Wars entire saga, which is slated to be a live action series coming soon.

  8. If we're going to suggest possible shows I would nominate either The Wire or Mad Men. The Wire, if only because it is the greatest television show of all time (yes, Lost takes a back seat). And Mad Men because it current and is going into a fourth season this summer after a very stellar final three episodes that saw the series move in a new direction. Both shows are compact with usually about 13 or 14 episodes a season. At the very least you should check the shows out if you haven't already done so.
